Ceremony at Christ Church Cathedral

Kate and Jack were married at Christ Church Cathedral, Nashville’s first Epistopal church originating in 1829 on Broadway. Kate wore a stunning Allison Webb gown from The Bride Room in Green Hills, while her bridesmaids wore blue long dresses from Bella Bridesmaids in Brentwood. Guests were welcomed to Kate’s childhood church by the historic organ playing traditional hymns, creating the perfect setting to surprise her guests with a bagpiper leading Kate and her father down the aisle playing Highland Cathedral.

Cocktail Hour at Clementine Hall

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to Clementine Hall, where they started the cocktail hour in the Little Bird Lounge.

The focal point was a cascading hydrangea centerpiece on the bar created by Knestrick By Design.

These summer florals framed the bar beautifully, while custom drink stirrers added a personal touch, a fun tribute to Kate and Jack’s mutual love for baseball, despite cheering for different teams.

The fireplace mantle held photos of loved ones who set the stage for a long lasting marriage. In the seating area, blue floral pillows handmade by the mother of the bride matched the seating chart wallpaper.

Reception at Clementine Hall

After cocktail hour, guests moved into Adelaide Hall for the rest of the evening.

The reception design captured Kate’s timelessness and elegance with champagne linens from BBJ LaTavola and lush florals by Jim Knestrick’s team.

The glow of candlelight on the gold patterned chargers and crystal glassware from Curated Events, filled the room with warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere for the evening meal. As guests made their way to their seats, they found a custom cookie at each place setting, handmade by Andrea Capizzi, the mother of the bride.

Kate and Jack danced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Nelson, but they had one more surprise after cutting their wedding cake by Dessert Designs by Leland.

Kate honored her mom with a special dance to The Best Day by Taylor Swift. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, a testament to their extraordinary bond and the deep impact Andrea has had on her daughter’s life.

The Free, booked by Sam Hill Entertainment, created a fun atmosphere for friends and family to celebrate on the dance floor and the night ended with a photo holding the Villanova University flag, a nod to where the couple met and fell in love.

Kate and Jack chose Clementine Hall for their Nashville wedding, drawn to its unique history as a former church and its timeless charm. The venue’s original brick walls and preserved organ gave their day a sense of classic tradition, while its capacity and character provided the perfect setting for a celebration full of meaning. They leaned into the historic feel with a traditional design, transforming a space often known for modern weddings into something elegantly timeless.

Planning a wedding like this is all about capturing what matters most. For Kate and Jack, that meant honoring tradition, celebrating family, and creating a joyful, meaningful experience for their guests. These tailored details came together for a truly unforgettable celebration.
