Kaitlyn & Mitchell’s Classic Wedding at Country Music Hall of Fame

When we first started working with Kaitlyn & Mitchell they told us they were most excited about having a good time on the dance floor with all their friends and family. Kaitlyn’s parents agreed. The band was top priority, followed by great drinks! What better location than the Country Music Hall of Fame!

We designed the entire day around that focus by keeping everything else simple. They chose the Rotunda for their ceremony so guests wouldn’t have to worry about traveling from one location to the next and it was an easy walk upstairs.

After cocktail hour, Kaitlyn & Mitchell entered with their guests into the main dining room. After a sweet welcome from the father of the bride, they chose to go straight into their first dances, then everyone enjoyed their plated meal.

The centerpieces were a mix of white blooms and candles atop a silky gold linen making everything feel approachable and effortless. We chose a napkin with a slight geometric design and depth to give an air of sophistication without being too showy. This was synchronized with the pillows on the lounge by the dance floor to tie everything together.

With dinner and formal dances behind them, it was time to party! It was such a joy to be a part of creating Kaitlyn & Mitchell’s wedding day. We are thrilled to share some insight from the bride herself below for any future couples planning their own celebrations.

“What is a special moment of the day that stands out the most in your memory?”

Kaitlyn: “There were so many moments that we love to reminisce on but my personal favorite was our first look on the terrace with the city skyline as the backdrop. It was just the most perfect moment that was intimate and full of emotion. My other favorite would be getting ready with all my bridesmaids the morning of our wedding. Just being surrounded by love and laughter, sets such a warm, joyful tone for the day. It’s those special moments that really stayed with me.”

“What made you want to choose your venue?”

Kaitlyn: : “We chose the Country Music Hall of Fame as our venue because it’s in the heart of downtown Nashville which is where our love story began. We wanted a venue that would be a memorable and fun experience for all of our guests.”

“Tell us about any special or personalized details that were a part of your day.”

Kaitlyn: “My grandparents were a huge part of my life. Since they have passed, I knew I wanted to somehow have a tribute for them to carry their memory with me on my wedding day. It was important to me to incorporate my grandmother’s favorite flower in my bouquet. I also added a picture of them to my bouquet. It’s like they were there in spirit witnessing such an important moment in my life.”

“If you could give any advice to brides planning their wedding right now, what would you say?”

Kaitlyn: “Enjoy the ride. The wedding planning process and the day itself can be overwhelming. Take in as much of the day as you can and just remember it’s the start of a beautiful journey for you and your partner.”

“When it came to planning your wedding, what was most important for you and how did that come to life on your wedding day? “

When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted it to be a wedding that people would remember how much fun they had. A big part of that was our band, The Downtown Band. They kept everyone on the dance floor from the moment they got up on the stage. They played songs that all generations enjoyed which really kept the party going.

“Anything else you want to add?”

Kaitlyn: “It was important to me to find a planner that I could fully trust to make the process enjoyable. Casey and her team went above and beyond for us and really put me to ease with the planning. Our wedding day could not have been any more perfect and it’s all thanks to EBJ.”

A note from Kaitlyn’s father

“Congratulations!! You have a wedding in your future.

But where do you start? How do you coordinate all the moving pieces of a wedding day event?

The easy and best answer is to call EBJ & Company. Casey Cannon is there to make your dreams turn into a reality. Casey listens to your ideas, adds other ideas, and pulls from her vast wedding planner network to make your wedding a memory of a lifetime. Casey is just a down to earth, wonderful person.

Our daughter was married at the Country Music Hall of Fame venue. The EBJ team made it happen from start to finish! We were just blown away by everything her team did for our daughter’s wedding. Our friends would ask if we were nervous about the upcoming wedding. We would just say no since we had Casey. Casey and her team made our daughter’s wedding a wonderful lifetime memory!!”
